The Keep Cuero Beautiful wildflower seed ball project and recycling program was well attended on Friday, Nov. 7th. While parents watched and listened, the children learned many ways and reasons to recycle. The presentation was followed by a wildflower seed ball project. This semi-messy activity involved wildflower seeds, potting soil, clay, and water. While they were SUPPOSED to keep gloves on during the seed ball rolling step, it was easier for many of them to get their fingers into it and have some sticky fun. Some families intend to plant wildflower seed balls each year after they’ve dried out. These will be cast in areas that the families do not intend to mow. With enough rainfall, a beautiful wildflower landscape should appear in Spring.

The November meeting has been postponed until our regularly scheduled January meeting date of 1/15/2015. Mary P. will present an exciting topic entitled, “Living and Learning.” You won’t want to miss it! This will be held at FPC and we hope that childcare will be available.
And, just around the corner, make plans to attend the Annual Mother’s Day OFF! This will be held on Saturday, December 6th. Details will be posted on the e-group.
Many blessings for a peaceful, restful, and happy Thanksgiving!
