Rescheduling to be Posted ASAP

Although we were able to relocate park day/public speaking to the FPC fellowship hall, God decided to bless us with wintery ice, sleet, and frigid temps.  The road closures, power outages, and bad weather conditions mean that we will reschedule for another day.  Watch the e-group to find out when we will practice improvisational speeches.

Stay warm!

Upcoming Events

Writer’s Block will end their January meetings on the 20th.  The first break of the year will be 1/27.  We’re 1/3 of the way through our creative writing assignments and the kids are having a blast.  Through artistic expression, these writers have blossomed into enthusiastic story writers.  Historical fiction is on tap in such a creative way that the students are actually in awe of themselves.

The January Presentation Practice will take place at Park Day on the 24th.  This month, there is no need to prepare ahead of time.  Improvisation!  That’s the word!  NOTICE:  Park Day has been moved to the Alexander Park due to renovations at the Municipal Park location.  Come early.  Stay late.  Bring water, snacks, and comfy chairs for parents.

Our resident Girl Scout, Muriel C., is selling cookies.  Please contact her as soon as possible in order to snag a box of your favorite flavor.

An encore presentation of the All Day Charlotte Mason Seminar will be held on February 22nd.  Please contact Angela, Pam, or Sharon if you are interested in attending.  Those that enjoyed the November seminar came away encouraged and highly motivated.  You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity.

The field trip to the Museum of the Coastal Bend has been postponed until the next exhibit is in place.  Watch for details to come.

Quite a few inquiries related to co-op have been received recently.  The current co-op families will meet this semester to discuss next year’s plans.  Details related to classes, schedules, and openings will be posted on the e-group as soon as they are determined.  Contact Becca if you are interested in joining the 2014-15 co-op.

February’s meeting will be hosted by Erica.  Please watch for details on the e-group.
